About The Game
Combined Spaces is a game made for the Godot Wild Jam.
The theme for this jam was "combined"
The game is about combined spaces. Combining 2 spaces that wouldn't normally fit together.
The game was inspired by the creepy feeling of Source engine games without any players or npcs.
Spaces:
- Forest Office (map: ForestOffice)
- Stairwell Apartments (map: ForestOffice2)
- Inside Outside Shop (map: Shop)
Planned Spaces:
- Hallway House
- Canal Terrace
- Catacombs Arcade
- Metro Bathroom
Next Up:
Hallway House
To keep in the style of source games use can use console commands. Mainly the "map" command that dates back to the Doom engine which is an ancestor of the source engine.

I encountered a glitch where i fell through the bottom of the stairwell and went out of bounds giving me the game over screen that nearly crashed my computer and an earraping sound.
Outside the myriad of glitches it was pretty solid design and aptmosphere wise.
You captured a really awesome eerie tone with this. I think there's really something here and I hope you keep experimenting with something like this.
Really cool concept of combining the outdoors with indoors. Great work!
this was a fun little game! it gave me the creeps but it had quite a few walls without colliders and some other minor bugs, but overall pretty good! would be interested in playing more of this honestly if you made new levels or something since you have the style nailed down pretty well
Was planning on making some more maps but at a bigger scale. Like gmod rp maps. Probably be able to work on it after I get my next update out for my other game

I decided to record your game and discovered a few unpleasant things, if you can fix those bugs it'd be a good short game jam!
Looks like map 2 didn't unload when map 3 was loaded. Are u using Windows? Not managed to test it on that as yet. Did t seem to occur on linux.

Found the problem. Godot names nodes instanced by code with @ symbols for some reason. The fix should be up and working now
nice, at first i thought that was intentional as i glitched through the wall ( just like i did in the video ) and explored something else, would be cool if i fell in another combined space, as they usually say about not being careful may cause you to fall into the backrooms lol
how to escape level 2? Also when i restart the level ( choose new game when playing ), the wall seems to glitch and i cant get out of the room.
Edit: ok so i managed to escape level 2, however, when the elevator opens at level 3, the white wall literally covers the elevator door and i cant get out, another thing is that the elevator is still going or something.
